Jackie Chan’s “The Disciple”

Nelly, Morlock’s leading lady of DOOM who keeps everyone over there sane, sent me this tidbit about Jackie Chan’s “The Disciple.” Jackie Chan is searching for the next big action star through a reality show competition. According to Jackie:

A lot of actors are good at fighting but (their style) is not beautiful. If you can incorporate dance with an ability to perform kung fu, that would be better.

Indeed, Bruce Lee was a cha-cha champion before he was a martial arts super star. It’s too bad the show is in China. This sounds like a reality show that I’d actually be interested in watching.

Maybe if enough people petition Spike TV to carry it? They did have that other martial arts reality show.
