Madness? THIS IS… Still Greece…

Millenium Films wants to jump on the Greecey bandwagon with the production of a Hercules film. Fortunately, the name Sorbo has yet to emerge. No real details yet so we don’t know if this is going to be a retelling of the entire epic, if his name will be Heracles or Hercules, or if it will be filmed entirely on green/blue screen like 300.

It’ll be good to see a non-Disneyfied version of a legend. I’d really like to see a live-action version of Mulan sans Disney. Honestly, this could go either way. If they stick to the legend of Heracles, I’ll be interested to see that even if it’s a loose interpretation. If they get all extremed out and do HERACLES 3000X, fuck you very much.

I think it’d be best to name him Heracles, since he’s known by that for most of his tales. Hercules is actually not really that common in the real stories.

I can totally imagine the script to HERACLES 3000X.

‘My name is Heracles. And I am here to take it to the limit.’

Damn, I’d pay money to laugh at that. No wait… I wouldn’t.

I doubt they’ll include the tale of him slaughtering his wife and family and many many people because he got grumpy. Disney overlooked that tidbit.
