The Saw movies are a guilty pleasure for me and Audrey. We liked all three, felt they really built upon each other. The first one was an excellent character study and probably could have stood alone without the sequels. But hey, they’re fun.

Shawnee Smith appears in all three as Amanda, one of Jigsaw’s former victims. She’s the one who’s head was stuck in that reverse bear trap. If you made it through the third film, you know how how difficult it would be for her to appear in the fourth. Smith and Lionsgate have said that she will not be in the fourth film. They doth protest too much which makes it quite easy to assume that she will be in Saw IV in some fashion. It’s already been confirmed that Jigsaw will return which seems equally difficult.

Either way, I’ll be saving up some movie and popcorn money for the next installment. I admit that this is one of my fatal flaws, but hey, everyone needs a hobby. I like watching shitty movies apparently.
