I don’t think this means what I think it means, but on Michael Bay’s website he stated: “No Transformers 2 for me!”

What proceeded was his reaction to Paramount releasing their movies, including Transformers, exclusively on HD DVD rather than both HD and Blu-ray.

I want people to see my movies in the best formats possible. For them to deny people who have Blu-ray sucks! They were progressive by having two formats. No Transformers 2 for me!

I can’t imagine that he’d follow through with such a flip remark. If Transformers 2 does indeed carry a director’s name that isn’t “Bay,” I will forever buy tickets to every future movie he ever makes, grit my teeth, and refrain from bashing him on my site. That kind of integrity would impress me greatly. I suspect that this is more bluster than anything else. But stranger things have happened.
