That’s me surrounded by Peelander Blue, Peelander Pink, Peelander Yellow, and Peelander Red in their human disguises! Saturday, Audrey and I met up with Nick and Marty from Dead of Summer for the Peelander Z DVD release party at Baltimore’s own Ottobar. Freaking awesome show! We got there a little early so I could give them this crazy Mad Tiger print I made for them. I think they liked it. Must get in touch with them for to do more Peelander arts.

The show was pretty sweet. Soon after we arrived, the screening started. The DVD has three tracks, live concert footage from a show in New York, a track with Peelander Z playing goofy games, and a Bonus section that includes videos for “Mad Tiger” and “S.T.E.A.K.” The footage from New York was hysterical. After about an hour of watching the concert, Peelander Z took the stage for a live show. Stage may be a little generous. The stage is downstairs. Peelander Z was set up in a corner next to the video screen. The upstairs is cramped with pool tables and bar stools, but it didn’t feel small.

Nothing beats seeing Peelander Z live. The DVD will definitely give you a really good taste of what it’s like to go nuts with a drum stick and a pot rocking out to “Mad Tiger.” But experiencing “Super Health” for real kicks your life up to notches you’ve never before seen! Even in the small upstairs with failing mics, Peelander seriously kicked the shit out of Baltimore. They even did human bowling!
