Robert Rodriguez was rumored to have been interested in directing the Clash of the Titans remake, but has since backed out. The studio wanted the film out before the strike. Rodriguez wanted to work on his own projects before the actor’s strike (they’re going to strike too?). So the remake remains director-less. This could be for the best.

Okay, so seeing a fake ass clay stop-motion titan clash anything is very cheesy. But a classic is a classic. There’s a lot of positive buzz about the screenplay, but if you’re just going to do your own interpretation of the Titans myth, why bother naming it after the first movie? Why not just do your own flick?
