Jami vs. Jelly Babies

I never knew that Jelly Babies were really real until tonight. Tasty treats and they also gave me an opportunity to mess around a bit with Brightcove.

Stop waving that half-eaten baby in front of my face! You’re making me sooo hungry.

Eat the feet first. So that they may not run away.

Haha, that’s so weird, you forget that the sweets you grew up with might not be available everywhere.
Saying that, the only gummy bears I’ve ever actually seen bounced here and there and everywhere in an imported Saturday morning cartoon, rather than being available as a tasty treat, and the only twinkies I’ve seen are in Die Hard.

“…so, Jelly Babies. [shows back of box] Oops. Heh. Jelly Babies!”

    Awesome. :)

Also, in their earliest interviews, the Beatles were asked what their favorite candy was, and the answer was Jelly Babies. What ensued was concert after concert where fans lobbed (Threw? Pelted?) literally thousands of Jelly Babies to/at the band. In a later Christmas album interview, Paul mentions that “…Ever since then we’ve been getting them in boxes, packets and crates. Anyway, we’ve gone right off Jelly Babies, you see.”

I has the trivia, yo, and it be useless.

I want to see you do Marmite next.

I was really upset when I went to the states and tried my old favourite, Skittles. Someone tell Skittles USA to put some fruit in there, fast! They taste of nothing but sweet! Likewise Opal Fruits (or Starburst). I found only three flavours where I’m used to seven, all much stronger.

I hope they’ve started importing Mars Bars by now, I missed those the most. Sugary chocolatey caramel goodness. :)

So weird, I just saw them in the international aisle of Giant on Shady Grove Rd. yesterday. I had to drag my Doctor Who loving fiance away.

Have you tried Turkish Delight? I hate that crap.

I’m sort of in between on the Turkish Delights. It depends on the mood I’m in. Sometimes I like them. Sometimes I think they’re way too sticky and sweet.
