More Chocolaty Goodness

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 at 3:43 pm by Jami

I’ve tracked down some more information on what promises to be the best martial arts flick this year! FACT!

Chocolate is directed by Prachya Pinkaew, the same man behind Ong Bak and Tom Yum Goong (The Protector), and stars newcomer Nicharee “Jeeja” Vismistananda. Jeeja plays an autistic girl who sets off on a mission to collect debts owed to her mother. She can do this, you see, because she’s learned martial arts by watching Bruce Lee flicks while munching on, what else, chocolate candies. It doesn’t get much better than this!

Oh, and here’s a higher quality trailer that you should show everyone you know.

That looks really good. Hopefully the storyline is better than Tony Jaa’s last.

Wow, I agree, let’s start training now, then we’ll be able to swim over for the premier

I’m assuming some of the clips (like where she was having a neck brace put on, and a patch over her eye) were out takes ala Jackie Chan.
Talk about suffering for your art!

And this movie looks like one violent work of art.

From what I understand, yes, those be painful outtakes. I’ve never seen them included in a trailer before but I think it’s a great move. It proves that our little lady is a true badass in every sense of the word.

I like how she can kick ass without being half naked. Yay for some realistic action chick goodness.
