Boob Calibur IV Geek Wars!

I genuinely get excited about the Soul Calibur series any time they announce a new game. Okay, besides Ivy’s fun bags getting bigger and bigger and defying more and more laws of physics, the actual combat is inspired by real world martial arts. Love it. So imagine how hard I geeked all over myself after hearing that Yoda and Darth Vader were entering the tournament! HELLS THE FUCK YEAH! And now, I can play the damn thing! I can’t wait until this drops!

    No-one’s commented on this all day?

    The inclusion just seems . . . odd to me. I suppose it’s not far off including Spawn, but at least there was some connection with McFarlane doing the figurines (unless I’m going insane again).

    Link had a direct connection to the system it was played on and Heihatchi had the damn Namco connection, so that wasn’t out of left field.

    But I suppose, by that logic, I would be more likely to accept the inclusion of Pac-Man in the lineup.
    Oh well, can’t go too far wrong with adding more.

    I’m not really familiar with the Soul Calibur series, but with the inclusion of Yoda and Vader, couldn’t they win just by using the force to, by whatever means, snuff out the lives of their opponents?

    They’ll probably have force lightning as a special ability, but aside from that and Vader’s choke-hold, they can’t actually kill people with their brains. :\

    In the books if they knew how Force users could cause blood vessels in the brain to snap. The witches of Dathomir were adept at this.
