Mat Noguchi Presents at Game Developer’s Conference

Of course, I have more incriminating pictures of my brother lying around here somewhere, but I wanted to see what I could grab from Google.
My younger brother, Mat (with one “t”) Noguchi, is one of the programming ninjas over at Bungie and has worked on Halo since the very first game. He’s presenting at the Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco February 18-22 which is just so freaking cool.
His session is New Dog, Old Tricks: Running Halo 3 Without a Hard Drive and is targeted at intermediate level programmers. The description of his talk is way beyond me (guess who the smart Noguchi brother is), but his bio is pretty funny:
Formerly a quiet little programmer trapped in the depths of an uninspiring job within Visual Studio, Mat found his seed of rage after joining Bungie in December 2000. Not one to let rational thought guide him, Mat has spent the last three years ranting and raging about one thing or another. It’s a wonder Halo shipped at all.
I actually think that’s the old bio they ran on the site back when the first game was coming out. Ah well. Not sure how many gaming professionals read AZM, but if you make it to the show, give my brother a shout.
Congrats Mat! We’re all so very proud of you!
