I also never found out who he was actually supposed to be portraying, though the banner in the background of the video was for Uesugi Kenshin, and at the end he refers to Bishamonten, a god of war. The drama's most likely a story revolving around Kenshin and Takeda Shingen, but I only caught about 15 minutes of one episode a few weeks back. Another dude with a similar singing/musical style is Hyde. He did "Spirit Dreams Inside" for that mess of a movie Final Fantasy. He fronts L'arc~en~ciel as well. They have a few nifty songs. I'm not normally into J-Rock but that was a pretty good song. I'm glad I'm not the only one who caught the terminator homage in the flute line, for a second I thought I was hearing things. another good J-Rock band to check out would be Maximum the Hormone, they sound (to me) like an interesting mix of System of a down, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. that’s pretty cool. Pluggage :P The main reason for the whole samurai setting in the first place was because Gackt himself was in a period drama that I can't remember for the life of me if it's still going or not.
