Venom’s Going Solo

Marvel will reportedly bring back Venom for his own solo film. No details at this time so let’s play twenty questions!

  1. Will the Venom film fit in the continuity established by Spider-Man 3?
  2. Will Topher Grace return or will Eddie Brock be recast?
  3. Will someone else entirely be bonded to the Venom symbiont (I guess Mac Gargan is a likely candidate if they follow modern continuity)?
  4. Will movie Venom be more like Ultimate Venom much like movie Spidey is more like Ultimate Spidey (sorta)?
  5. Will they introduce Carnage?
  6. Will any other Marvel hero be featured?
  7. For that matter, can Venom carry a feature on his own?

Couldn’t get to twenty.

    Basically just make it like a horror movie. Venom regererates somewhere, with or without Eddie Brock, and starts going on a rampage. Maybe he can be in a remote facility or somewhere where he can’t get to Spider-Man, so he just starts tearing the place up.

    I guess they could go with the whole government trying to make a biological weapon out of the symbiote thing. A flawed clone of Venom gets made. It turns into Carnage, maybe it bonds with a prisoner who volunteered to be experimented on, Cletus Cassidy, and Venom has to appeal to his better instincts and fight his psychotic “child.”

    Keep it simple and it could be a big success.

    There was the whole “Lethal Protector” series for Venom where he “tried” to do good in a, well, direct and very messy way. At any rate a good Venom movie would need to be a 15 at least (I’m not so up on American ratings, I think NC-17 qould be the closest).

    Personally I’d be happy if they ignored Spidey 3 and did a sort of relaunch ala the new Hulk.

    Will they finally make him look like Venom is suppose to look? I don’t want any of that skinny bitch ass spidey look alike fuckin venom.
