Wall-E’s BFF

Marty dug up the international trailer for Wall-E. Cutie attack, GO!

Just in case it gets wanged, we get a lot more plot details in this trailer. Apparently, mankind has left Earth leaving Wall-E behind to clean up the mess. Over the years, he’s developed a personality. He’s all alone until an alien space ship brings another robot, EVA or EVEE or something along those lines. Wall-E befriends the alien robot and for the first time ever, he’s not alone. Somewhere along the way she probably gets recalled to the ship so Wall-E goes embarks on a quest to find his BFF.

Can’t wait for the summer. Wall-E is going to be so much fun!

I just noticed: he sounds like a cross between R2-D2 and an Ewok.

I think this movie promotes friendship between a Mac and a PC?

from Empire magazine (Issue 224, Feb 2008):

“[Wall*E] … and Eve, the automaton fobject of his affections don’t speak at all. They just beep, although Pixar did hire Ben Burtt, the legendary Star Wars sound editor, to create beeps that were as expressive and voice-like as possible. Burrt jokingly calls the, “R2-D2: The Movie.”
