Hotel Transylvania will be the latest addition to the star-crossed lovers story we just can’t seem to get enough of. Simon Van Helsing falls in love with Dracula’s daughter. When the two realize that their families are sworn enemies, they attempt to mend the hatred between monsters and human. If this sounds slightly cheesy, it should be little surprised that this will be a Sony Animation feature.

I’m not inherently opposed to seeing the star-crossed lovers story again. Romeo Must Die was a lot of fun. West Side Story is still one of my favorite musicals. And I dare say the Romeo and Juliet with Leo and Claire was immensely entertaining. It’s one of those classic stories that stands the test of time and if it’s done well, an animated interpretation could be quite good.

I have to see the character designs before I can support this. It’s such an obvious pairing, I’m just surprised no one has thought this one up before.
