Hulk vs. Abomination

Incredible Hulk

Another win from Marvel Entertainment? Head on over to MTV and watch the HD trailer. Trust me.

I never saw Ang Lee’s Hulk so I don’t know how this will compare. But it really doesn’t matter. This looks so fun on its own. Sometimes you just need to have a big green fight in the middle of town.

Heh, Toronto has never looked so trashed since Resident Evil 2.

I think this will be pretty good. Ed Norton is a really good actor. and he is the natural choice to play Dr. Banner.

I almost got kind of a fight Club vibe, y’know, if Tyler Durden was huge, green and way more pissed of.

This Hulk looks so much better than the one in the Ang Lee travesty.

Looks like they just ignore the Ang Lee version. Honestly I wasn’t too fond of the Ang Lee version because of the format, that and they tried to explain too much. If you try to explain everything your going to wind up with a startrek style physics that make no sense. I like the BSG style where they explain next to nothing about how it works, it is simply there and ready to be used.

The nice thing on top of that trailer is that the director, Louis Leterrier, has said in an interview that the shots in the trailer aren’t entirely complete yet either. That’s why the trailer has taken so long to drop, because they’re still finalizing post-production which will hopefully mean the Hulk looks even better come release time. Apparently when the trailer gets theater release, there’s an extreme close up of the Hulk’s face that looks impressive.

Still shitty that they dumped Eric Bana thanks to Ang Lee’s rubbish… but this does look awesome!

Hmm I’ll probably going to see this one. Hulk looks like made of wood on the picture above!

Yeah… this movie was initially titled: “The Incredible Hulk: Our Apology for Ang Lee Dropping the Ball and Some How Making a Two Hour Movie About The Hulk so Boring That Some People Actually Fell Asleep At Some Point, and Were Too Embarrassed To Ask for Their Money Back Because They Woke Up For The Second Half, and Still Sat Through It.”
But that was too long, so they just decided to ignore the existence of the Ang Lee version, and just go with “The Incredible Hulk”.
    True story.

“Copyright prevents us from playing this outside the U.S”. It’s just a trailer…
    *turns big and green*.

@fiftywan, Oh man, I’m sorry. That sucks. I tried to find a direct feed that I could play on here, but I couldn’t grab it. I’ll tell you it looks much better than any of the trailers I saw for the first one.

I admit that I, and a few of my friends, are some of the freaks out there who liked Ang Lee’s Hulk… well except the stupid fight (and the sudden change in the father) near the end. It really taints and changes the whole tone of the movie (but that was all supposedly forced by the studio). It was nice to see a comic book movie that wasn’t all about the fights or the effects for once and had plot, and thinking was required, that and giant mutant poodles…. anyway, that’s all beside the point…

I was decidedly “meh” about this trailer I hope they fix the CG because they looked bad, very bad (although I admit I can’t see the high res version being in the UK). I am really much more excited about Dark Night and Iron Man… which both look amazingly brilliant in a “I’m really trying not to get my hopes up” kind of way :)
