Since the moon was originally part of the earth, it's only logical to assume that the Earth knows all it's moves.

It could be possible that the moon has learned a few new tricks, spinning out there in the cold void. But, come on, how many techniques can an inert ball of dust come up with?

Earth men are real men!

The moon could come crashing into the Earth, but consider this, the Earth is bigger than the moon and bigger mean more important and the more important you are, the more authority you have and, as we all know, authority = asskicking

Maybe it's a gundam style plot where the moon colonies declare independence and a massive war between the earth and moon ensue with the orbital colonies neutral.

The Moon may be smaller, but it has the advantage of higher ground. All it has to do is fall from the sky, and the Earth is toast. Almost literally, since the impact would bring about a firestorm the like of which this planet has not known since it's creation. It'd be suicidal, of course, but what has the Moon got to lose? As you say, there's nothing there but rocks and dust!

Hrm. The moon is bare bones, no frills, sparse. As in Spartan. Spartan --> Leonidas. Leonidas --> Kicking the crap out of others. Therefore by the idea property conversion we can come to conclusion that the Moon is to Leonidas as Earth is to Xerxes.

This is MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!
