I didn't get the big Nostalgia trip behind New Frontier. Maybe its because I wasn't alive for the Silver Age but the movie felt seriously devoid of superheroics. The Flash kicking Captain Cold's butt was a highlight and Batman fighting of the Center cult was neat, but aside from John Jones a lot of the movie felt slow.

The first half of Superman: Doomsday was good, but after the "event" of the film everything afterwords was a bit of a letdown. I liked some of the bits with the Toyman. Lex Luthor was totally flamingly homosexual for Superman which, while amusing, is out of character. I wasn't bothered by the pseudo-Timm art style with the more prominent cheek bones like many were. I'll admit I rather liked the retro look of New Frontier.

I didn't care for Ultimate Avengers. Being a fan of both the Ultimates and the regular Avengers, UA felt like a watered down version and unfaithful version of both groups. It was a mistake to try and merge the first two volumes of the Hulk/Chitauri conflict. UA2 even more so with the new storyline.

I didn't see the Invincible Iron Man, the CGI looked like real corner-cutting and I am sick to death of elemental bosses.

I'd have to say I enjoyed Doctor Strange the most of Marvel's animation efforts. They played around with the origin but it seemed like they had fun with it. I liked the monsters' designs and twist ending didn't held back at all with the action.

The upcoming Batman: Gotham Knight looks to awaken the weeaboo in me.

I have high hopes for Black Panther as well.

I gotta disagree on the Marvel animated front. Ultimate Avengers and Doctor Strange were both very good. I wasn't too keen on the Iron Man movie or Ultimate Avengers 2 though.

Also, am I the only one who was greatly disappointed in the New Frontiers Justice League movie? The TV series was awesome! Watching New Frontiers after that was kind of a let down.
