War Games 2

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008 at 10:30 am by Jami

Hot on the heels of the direct to bargain bin Lost Boys 2 comes another blast from the past, War Games: The Dead Code.

Besides updating the setting and adding a terrorism angle, what is the difference between this movie and the original? And if it’s just a rehash, doesn’t that indicate that the original stands the test of time? So what if a young Matthew Broderick uses a dial up modem instead of a T1 line. The original was released in 1983. You’re telling me that in 25 years the only new twists you can come up with are a sexy computer program and the internet? If you’re going to be that lazy, just save your money and re-release the original.

Thanks to reader Wayne W for digging this up.

Hmmm. “Would you like to play a nice game of chess?”

The original and still the best. ;p

Having the AI play tic-tac-toe against itself and learning from it… Why is there a sequel?
