The only thing that would make this news even more amazing is if we also got a theatrical re-release. But a director’s cut of Dark City on DVD and Blu-Ray is pretty freaking awesome! This was one of my favorite movies of the 90’s. We get a new version of the movie with fifteen minutes of additional footage and new special features to celebrate its tenth anniversary. Dark City, the Director’s Cut drops July 29 on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Slightly related, if you ever find yourself driving down the George Washington Parkway into D.C. at night and manage to take a look to your left as you get close to the Key Bridge, you’ll see Georgetown University across the river all lit up and looking quite like Dark City, reason number one why you should think twice about enrolling.
