Shyamalan Must Live Up to Awesome Puppets

Thursday, May 15th, 2008 at 9:28 am by Jami

If the live action feature fails to live up to the awesome of puppet benders, M. Night Shyamalan’s Avatar will suck an egg. I think if he gets the right cast together, that might boost my expectations.

So dear readers, who would you cast in M. Night Shyamalan’s Avatar movie? I dream of bald Tony Jaa! I’m trying to think where Bryce Dallas Howard would fit because he seems to like using her a lot, but for the life of me I don’t think she fits in the world.

Thanks to AZM regular Kevin Bahrt for the link.

Shyamalon will never be able to live up to the awesomeness of the puppets.

Wow. They should be making the movie. All they have to do is give them some high budget support and they’ll make a movie everyone can see.

Isn’t Avatar a James Cameron movie?

The James Cameron one is an original sci-fi movie. The Shyamalon one is based on the television show. Very confusing.

That’s how they should do the recap of all the episodes. On a side note I didn’t realize none of the female characters have toys. Heck even Iroh didn’t get a toy. Where’s the love?

yea an animated movie would be the bees knees. Don’t know if you could cast for the kids very well. Maybe do some open casting around Asian martial arts dojos. Lesee Jackie Chan for Iro and just keep Mark Hamil as the fire lord (i think thats mark hamil right? sounds like the joker to me)
