Spidey Wants Cat’s “Mud Pie?”

The theme song for Spectacular Spider-Man isn’t all that great, but the animation and character design courtesy of Sean “Cheeks” Galloway is bloody brilliant! And now I must schedule a Saturday morning alarm so I can keep up with this series. I love Black Cat’s redesign. Super sexy without that ridiculously implausible plunging cleavage line. Comic book Black Cat must have stapled that thing in place.

I see Gwen but no MJ. Wonder how old this episode is. Argh! Must catch up! So good! I expect after a few episodes the theme song will grow on me. Or not. I really don’t like it. But I love everything else.

Yeah, that’s definitely a really good re-design on Black Cat.

I’ve been trying to keep up with this Spider-Man as well. I’ve been happily surprised with it so far.

I like a simplistic style, myself. Though the lack of any details does make it very, very difficult to tell anyone’s supposed age.

If you look around, there are torrents of this series. I have the first 9 eps on my iPod, and the 10th just aired on Saturday. It’s WAYYYY better than it should be, shitty theme aside. Highly recommend it, sir.

I hear what your saying about the theme song, you can see they were trying to kinda get the effect of the original song from the old series but it falls pretty short of that. Oh and what the hell was with the line ” you better not get your goop in my hair” thats just wrong.

MJ has showed up in the series. Also, there are TONS of nods to Spider-lore in the series if you pay close attention. And at first, I didn’t care so much for the theme song, but it king of grew on me. I can’t wait for the first season to come out on DVD so I can watch the eps over and over again!
