Hooray for Hollywood - lets get a white boy to play an ethnic role because THAT is more believable in the eyes of the public. Seriously - how hard is it to get a person of Middle Eastern heritage to play a role in an "action" movie. Anybody at all! Doesn't even have to be a person with a large portfolio of work. Sure, there's the argument about star drawing power and the skill level of the actor, but come on - its a freakin Disney movie. The same company that turned guys like Dwayne Johnson and Ice Cube into after school special actors.

Typically, there is minimal dialogue in an action movie anyway. So if the story is written well and that minimal dialogue is decent, you don't need much acting skill to pull off an enjoyable action film. Half of that is in the direction alone.
