Art Fight Recap From Ghostfreehood

Art Fight Audience

Nick has posted his recap of Art Fight along with some more sexy pics. Check it out to see a photo of all three panels together.

I didn’t know that MC Chris dissed us on stage. On the one hand, we got mentioned by MC Chris on stage. On the other hand, what the fuck. He already kicked us off the bill. Why the fuck rub it in? We should get a direct quote so we can use that to promote the next show, Rain-Slick Precipice style.

Despite that, we had a fucking blast. My recap will come as soon as I can get the footage cut together. And we may have some news about future shows. Despite the MC Chris hate, there’s interest from various parties for future promotions and shows. I have a feeling this is the start of something insanely awesome!

Dude wtf @ mc chirs being such a dick. Who would have thought he’d be such a hater?

His quote, and this isn’t verbatim, was made in-between songs when some of the music from the bar could be heard and went something like:

“I’m glad there’s some art fag upstairs being loud with his thumping music. ART FIGHT! ART FIGHT! WE’RE LAME! [some stuff I can’t remember] trying to get on my show, bitches.”

It went sort of like that. Others claim they didn’t hear the ‘art fag’ remark, but I’m pretty sure I heard it loud and clear.

Ah yes, the bastion of all rap disses, homophobia.

I totally missed the part about trying to get on my show and CLEARLY the bitches comment.
    What a douchebag. Y

I seem to remember someone saying that there were complaints that the upstairs DJ was too loud. I think the general consensus is that the upstairs DJ was crap. If MC Chris’ only problem was with the DJ, then it’s not Art Fight’s fault. But I guess even nerdcore has to try to be street.

What a douchebag…Wow. Good to know he’s professional about his career.

Well, the ‘bitches’ part I’m having a second thought on. He definitely did say something about trying to get on his show, and he said ‘bitches’ an inordinate and uncountable number of times, so there may have been some confusion there.

When I heard him say it, I wish I could’ve re-wound the show. I was shocked. That’s not something you expect to hear. We had a right to be upstairs doing our thing, and besides, it happened so quickly in a club setting, I didn’t catch it all either.

Oh well, I don’t wanna make a thing out of it. This is starting to turn into a he said, she said thing. That’s not cool.

He said something about it. I did hear the part where he called us lame and I did hear Art Fight mentioned in a tone I didn’t care for too much.
That’s all I can account for.

Yeah, let’s not let this juvenile fucktard rain on our parade. We had an awesome show and that’s all that counts. And they want more so doubly good for us!

We just have to remember this should Art Fight explode. Remember to not be a fucktard to the up and comers. Who knows how big they’ll get.

ha, just tell him to kiss your ass and keep it moving.

If you ever want to record a diss track back against him, just get at me

Wait…when did MC Chris get to the point where he could “diss” people? Isn’t he still a no-talent, short, fat, ass-clown with the voice of a 13 year-old?

Grand Master: Incidentally, I’d proposed to Nick that very night that they should write a call-out song and record a video with an Artfight going on in the background where the theme is dissin’ Chris. I even made sure to grab a copy of 45 King’s 900 Number, a song which I consider to be the base that every great hip-hop song that can ever be written should sync with. I actually had plans on doing such a thing.

In retrospect, I think the Ottobar blasted really cheesy 80’s radio music to get everyone downstairs and back to the show that night. We could have been set up. Just a thought.

They would not have played that crap otherwise. Hmm…

PSSSHHH mc will always dish the hate since apparently he’s been “shit on all my life” (think i heard that line quite a few times)

Either way, ART FIGHT F**KIN ROCKED MY SOCKS. I love the mc don’t get me wrong, but i skipped that 2nd band to chill upstairs for awhile, cause art is rad. and fights are rad. Transitive property anyone??

Angryzenmaster and Ghostfreehood got a new fan. I also want that whole picture as a background for my widescreens…it’ll look excellent on my new 22″

Word up to the awesome suggestions from the audience, and word up to the amazing artists….even those 2 off to the side fkin around haha
