Hell Boy in the Actor’s Studio

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008 at 8:50 am by Jami

Hell Boy II opens this Friday and to celebrate, AZM regular Tyler Anderson sent over a few clips of Hell Boy chatting with James Lipton. It’s an interesting campaign. I like the Lipton segments much better than the one where Hell Boy is playing video games or the one where he meets Wolf from American Gladiators. Here’s another with James Lipton.

Five fingers? I only count four. Ah well.

Um… now I’m creeped out. When James Lipton says “yesss” like that, it makes me think someone just asked him if he’d like to munch on the femur of a small child. EEK!

Oh well. Here’s a PSA with Hell Boy reminding us to never judge someone based on their color.

Awe! He loves cats!

And finally, here’s Hell Boy auditioning for either a boy band, reality show, or combination there of.

You can tell Ron Perlman had some fun with these. Neat little campaign although the trailer pretty much sealed the deal for me. Actually, the first movie sealed the deal for me. I will see anything with Guermo Del Toro’s involvement.

Blast! I’ll have to see this on Saturday. Friday I’m watching SG:A.

Cool! I imagine my wife and I will catch it Saturday. We might squeeze in rewatching the first one again if I brought it down from her house.

I love the Actor’s Studio bits. I enjoyed watching that show occasionally, then I caught Robin Williams on it: they did a 60 minute show because that’s the only way they could get 30 minutes of interviews with him.

I really like this little bit of advertising, it’s by far less obnoxious than just re-running the trailers that everybody has already seen. and I think it really shows the good sense of humour that has been as much a hallmark of the comics/movies as the monsters and Nazis.

    needless to say, I LOL’ed
