Marty Twittered something about School of Rock 2 and I’m thinking, what in the fuck could they possibly do with a sequel? High School of Rock? College of Rock? Cash Grab of Rock?
Well, apparently, the actual plot involves Dewy Finn taking kids on a cross-country field trip to explore the history of rock from blues to country to rap.
Uh… that sounds… um… oh fuck me.

Hey, now. I might not suck! Really! I think I can safely forecast a 5 to 7% chance of not suck. Possibly a chance of not sucking early in the film changing to partly sucking by the second act and progressing to mostly sucking by the end. But you’re right, it will probably COMPLETELY suck. |

I completely disagree. I think it’ll actually be a good family-type movie. And especially with all the faux-punk acts ruining rock nowadays, it would behoove kids watching this movie to actually get an education in the roots of rock along with being entertained. It might suck to older viewers, but I’m not sure older viewers are the target audience that the studio is probably aiming for in this sequel. |
