Breast Calibur IV Jiggles Differently on 360 and PS3

Soul Calibur IV, henceforth Breast Calibur, was released last week and I have to say, I was most tempted to pick it up. I’ve loved the Breast Calibur series since the good old Dreamcast version. I love the weapons combat and the distinct martial arts styles of the characters. Breast Calibur III had a nice adventure/strategy mode that’s perfect if you have no one to play with. And the character creation options were a welcome addition.

It looks like Breast Calibur IV has taken things up a few notches. I’m not so impressed with the addition of the Star Wars characters. Vader would be cool, but as I have the 360, I’d be stuck with the Apprentice and Yoda who seems to be the cheapest character in any fighting game ever. I think I’d have a lot of fun with the character creator. I’d like to create all the Erfworld characters as fighters and see how they’d really match up. Oh, and I like the addition of Hilde who wields a short sword and a fucking lance! Bad ass!

I’ll pick this up eventually. The amount I game doesn’t really justify buying games when they first release. So it may be a while. Anyone out there getting jiggly with Breast Calibur?

Breast Calibur IV is actually pretty damn sweet. I picked it up and I’ve been having loads of fun with it. character creation is just as addictive as it sounds, the Dialouge is just as atrocious as ever, and the stories are just as confusing. In short, it’s everything you love about BC and more.

Plus, when you take three custom ladies all with a bra size too high to count into the tower of lost souls and kick everyone’s ass….well, that’s just the cherry on top, that is.

That being said, I also like the difficulty curve- maybe my fighting game skills are rusty, but some of the Tower challenges are fucking HARD- I’ve broken one controller already.

I am still too deep in the jungle of Last Generation’s Consoles to pick this up, despite having the previous four.
