Cher to Play Couger–Er–Catwoman in Batman 3

So this should be taken with a giant salt lick, but apparently, Cher is in talks to play Catwoman for the third Bat flick. According to a stuiod exec:

Cher is Nolan’s first choice to play Catwoman. He wants to her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years. The new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry’s purring creations.

Hmm…

If you’re going to go that route, I kinda want to see Eartha Kitt as Catwoman instead. Personal preference, but she’s always been my personal favorite for Catwoman. I think she’d make an excellent Cougarwoman.

So what do you all think? Does Cher plus Depp plus Hoffman equal win? Does an aging Catwoman interest you? Is this all just bullshit?

    FYI, the site also says Johnny Depp will pay the Riddler and shoot in Vancouver and the film’s title will be “the Caped Crusader”

    No. . .Cher is not sexy enough to play her!! Dammit Catwoman should make me want to give up all of my belongings just because she asks, not make me want to punch her in the face for being stupid enough to ask me that question!!

    the last 2 films i heard who the casting was i thought no way its going to work. i was dead wrong and so i now trust in them dispite my better judgement but only time will truly tell. that siad, really? her? no thank u i want a little eye candy u know?

    @kal, Yeah, I remember a lot of people not really digging Ledger’s casting. So who knows. Maybe this take on Catwoman is the way to fit her into this insane world.

    However, sometimes things are just as shitty as they sound. So I’m kind of on the fence on this one.

    The difference is that Ledger was actually a pretty good actor, even though his only well-known really challenging role prior to Joker was in Brokeback Mountain. But his portrayal of Bob Dylan in that pseudo-documentary was very good as well. Cher’s record of movie roles is just horrendous.
