Vote For A New Hope

New Hope

After sitting through last night’s debate, it becomes clear that we need to vote for a New Hope!

AZM Ally Greg sent along David Friedman’s awesome remix of Shepard Fairey’s Obama Hope poster and I think it’s bloody brilliant! And with the blessing of Lucasfilm, you can now purchase said image on Zazzle as a print or a t-shirt.

In terms of electing young Skywalker to the Presidency, let’s see how he stacks up. He’s got down home roots, he’s demonstrated excellent leadership ability and a decent measure of military strategy. The war on terror would be a cinch. He’s worked with many different cultures and people to bring them together to fight against corruption. Fervent believer in freedom. A war hero. He may be a little weak on health care and the economy, but I’m sure if you throw enough Bothans at the problem, it’ll get sussed out.

Besides, he has a freaking light saber! Win!

    Luke’s not weak on health care. He has an artificial hand and probably advocates everyone getting artificial limbs!

    And he has Han Solo to help him out about the “economy” of the New Republic.
