Japanese Man Wants to Marry Comic Book Lady

Zombie Spidey Wedding

Taichi Takashita loves comics way more than you ever will. He’s petitioning the government to make it legal for him to marry cartoon characters. Says Takashita:

I am no longer interested in three dimensions. I would even like to become a resident of the two-dimensional world. However, that seems impossible with present-day technology. Therefore, at the very least, would it be possible to legally authorise marriage with a two-dimensional character?

In his first week, he’s already gathered 1000 signatures.

I blame Frank Cho for drawing impossibly hawt womens. Oh, and Adam Hughes.

Doesn’t marriage or unions or whatever require consent from both parties? How would a character give said consent? And would that entitle the rl person to some of the profits? If this happens all the womens will marry Master Chief or something.

Pygmalion was a sculptor who fell in love with a statue he made. Its the same damn thing and it’s been going on since ancient Greece it’s people who can’t handle real relationships with real people. Of course you can’t marry a cartoon because its not an entity its a picture plain and simple it has no voice or mind or even body it can’t do anything you don’t want it to, it can’t do anything(which is the attraction im guessing).

I don’t even see what the point of marrying it would be, how would that work are you married to a picture or the fictinal character itself. And again whats the point your just imagining the relationship why not just imagine your married.
