What is he gonna transform into on earth, a conveyor belt!? If we're lucky, Bay will turn him into something like an SR-71 or stealth bomber, and shoot missiles that turn into Ravage, Lazerbeak et al. That's if we're lucky. It was actually a tear drop shape. If you have a reaction less drive (where you don't need thrusters) and can shape your hull like anything you want then a tear drop is the most aerodynamically efficient. Well for sub-sonic any way. It may not be the best of stories (stranded on a strange planet with your enemies and having native allies), but it was an entertaining story that deserves more than having FORD slap it's logo onto everything or a megolomaniac of a director just making action scenes with as much pryo possible. Had they kept it closer to the cartoon's it would have been successful. Parents who grew up with transformers would have dragged their kids along and people like me in their early 20s who remember transformers would have gone and seen it without question, but Bay ruined that, like everything else he touches that turns into a pryotechnics / big army showcase.
