Peelander Z – Ninja High School

“Let’s apply now!”

Are you weak? Do you need some kaiju fighting skills? Then apply to Ninja High School to unleash your full potential. This music video for “Ninja Highschool” perfectly illustrates why Peelander Z is my most favoritest band ever! So freaking amazing! I can’t wait to see them on tour this year.

G.I. Joe Hot Body Contest

G.I. Joe

Paramount has released six new posters for the live action G.I. Joe movie and it appears the characters are competing in a hot body contest. I think Snake Eyes is looking pretty damn hot right there.

My biggest problem with the costume design is perfectly illustrated when all six are put up next to each other like this. If you didn’t have the little team emblems at the bottom of each poster, there’s absolutely no way to tell who’s on which side. In fact, if you were new to the franchise and there were no emblems, you might think that all six of thee folks fought on the same side, especially the ninjas who have the same emblems on their swords. They don’t even have simple team patches. This is kind of worrisome because if the action scenes are shot in typical Hollywood fashion, they’ll be up close and personal and you won’t know who to root for. It’ll be a big blur of black leather and carbon fiber armor and you won’t know who’s kicking the shit out of who until the fight is over.

Anyway, cast your vote for who you think has the hottest bod in this spread. My vote is for Snake Eyes. Freaking AB MASTAH!!!

PG Gundam Astray, Clear Pepsi Style

PG Gundam Astray Clear

We got some new pics of the PG Gundam Astray Red Frame wearing clear armor parts so you can see the skeletal details. Sorta. The plastic is a little too opaque in the photos to get a clear look at the frame. But it’s still pretty sweet.

PG Gundam Astray Clear

Mmmm… Gundam sword! *droooool*

Gundam Astray Green Frame

Here’s a pic of some lineart for a Master Grade 1/100 Gundam Astray Green Frame. All we need now is a Yellow Frame and Pink Frame and we can form Super Sentai Gundam Ranger! I think it says the Green Frame is scheduled for April 25, but that’s only because that’s the only date I can read on there.

Furry Vengeance!

Brendan Fraser

For far too long, furries have been the victims of ridicule and prejudice. Forced to hide their fursonas from the judgmental eyes of society, furries live a life of paranoid secrecy. Until now! The day of reckoning is at hand and the furries shall rise! It is the day of Furry Vengeance! Brendan Fraser stars as a downtrodden furry. Sick and tired of the oppression of his non-furry masters, he rallies a rag-tag group of fellow furious furries to raise up against society and reign down furry vengeance upon those who attempt to poison and–wait what? That’s not… that’s not what it’s about? It’s a stupid family comedy with Brendan Fraser verses some angry animals?

Ugh.

Kamen Rider Decade Henshin Belt In Action

“Kamen Raido!”

Thanks to commenter Zeln for linking this video. I’m guessing the nine rider cards come with the belt as well as their attack cards. The Ichigo, Nigo, V3, and Black cards are from the card arcade game, Kamen Rider Battle Ganbaride, where you swipe cards in the machine to choose your Rider (I think). Holy crap balls, wouldn’t it be AMAZING if Decade busted out the Ichigo card in the very last episode? Oh god, this belt is SO AWESOME! Yeah, I’m hooked.

You can get preorder it now from HLJ for ¥6,500 ($71.42 USD).

Stan Lee And Marvel Sued Over Spider-Man

Stan Lee Spidey

In 2005, Stan Lee sued the company over profits from the first Spider-Man film. He won a $10 million settlement. Well, it seems the past returns. From our frivolous lawsuit department comes word from AZM Ally Greg that Stan Lee and Marvel are once again involved in an idiotic legal battle, only this time on the same side. Stan Lee Media Inc is suing both its founder, Stan Lee, and Marvel over film and comic profits totaling $750 million dollars.

Facepalm Piccard

Let’s rewind, shall we. On the back of the 90’s comic boom, in 1998 Stan Lee created Stan Lee Media Inc to create a line of internet super heroes that would star in their own animated comic. The company eventually went public. Sadly, by 2001 Stan Lee Media Inc was forced to close its doors thanks to stock manipulation charges levied against its corporate officer Stephan Gordon and Lee’s lawyer Peter Paul. Stan Lee Media Inc reemerged in 2006 with heads firmly up their ass.

In their suit against Stan Lee and Marvel, Stan Lee Media Inc alleges that Stan signed over ownership rights of characters he created for Marvel to Stan Lee Media Inc and that profits from any comics or movies made from those characters should go to them. This makes no sense. Stan created Spider-Man et. al under a work-for-hire contract. All the characters he created and co-created are the sole property of Marvel. Even if he wanted to, Stan can’t sign the ownership rights of those characters to anyone.

I hope the judge gets a big chuckle out of this because Stan Lee Media Inc has no leg to stand on. Idiots.

Cross post from Super Art Fight. And I quoteth!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

This Saturday, Super Art Fight will be in motion like never before. Angry Zen Master: Jami Noguchi and Ghostfreehood: Nick Borkowicz will be jamming for 24 hours to test their endurance and to honor the memory of Caitlin and Matt Boles. Caitlin and Matt were tragically taken from their peers and loved ones due to a car accident this past October. All art drawn Saturday night will be available for auction online or available for purchase at the show with the proceeds going to the Boles family.

The event will be taking place at Starry Night Bakery and Coffee House where Cailtlin had been employed. She was 15 years old, a straight-A honor student and is survived by six brothers and sisters and her parents. The live art event will begin 9am Saturday, January 31st and end 9am Sunday, February 1st. Brunch will be available from 8am to 2pm on Sunday while people from the community may view the finished product.

If you are unavailable to make it out to the event, there will be a live stream of the art jam available at Noguchi’s UStream. If there is anything you would like to see the artists draw, be sure to leave the topics in the comments area below. You might get lucky!
