Eliza Dushku Wants a Piece of Tony Stark

Eliza Dushku

With the rumors that a scheduling conflict may take Emily Blunt out of the running to play Black Widow in Iron Man 2, AZM Ally Kensei Dave sends word that Eliza Dushku is interested in the role. And I quote:

They’re doing ‘Iron Man 2,’ and I’m so perfect for the Black Widow character, that they just need to get into it. They need to understand… I just learned Russian because I had to play a Russian girl in ‘Dollhouse.’ Maybe we could all tell them. Lets get on a Black Widow Iron Man 2 campaign.

Yes please!

I verily heart Eliza Dushku and if it weren’t for the con, I would have watched the premier of Dollhouse (which is on Hulu now! Oh, it shall be reviewed!). She certainly has the action chops. Her personality certainly fits Natasha. And she’s awful damn attractive, especially wearing comic book tight outfits while kicking people. And with Dollhouse on FOX, she’ll probably have some time in the near future for a film project. Ah FOX, we will never forgive you for killing Firefly.

As long as she wears a wig. There aren’t enough red heads as is, removing them will lose them points.

Looks like Miss Johannson might beat her to the punch…:

Hmmm… I do like the Johannson quite a bit. She hasn’t really kicked much ass on screen yet. This might be her chance to get some chop socky training. But with Dushku, you got the whole package. Hmmm… it’ll be interesting to see how this pans out.

I personally prefer Emily Blunt, she’s got that mysterious sultry look more down pat. But I can see how Eliza could make a good Natasha Romonov. I mean she certainly fills out a black leather jumpsuit like in Jay and Silent Bob Strike back. Apparently Kevin Smith said in the commentary for the movie that those outfits were inspired by the Black Widow’s outfit. So….
