Didn’t think I’d ever like a Nightmare on Elm Street flick sans Robert Englund, but the latest rumor about who may play the new Freddy for the reboot of the franchise has my pants all a crunch. Michael Bay’s production company is looking to Jackie Earle Haley to play Freddy Krueger.

Wow!

Yeah, I’d pay to see that. I’d pay full ticket price opening night to see that. He’d bring a deadly menace to Freddy. But I also think he has the timing to pull off some of Freddy’s quirky and terribly sick humor. I really hope this pans out. Now I can’t imagine the reboot without Haley!
