Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone Gets a Limited English Language Theatrical Release

Angry Zen Minion Kenneth Lyons, Jr. sent along this English language trailer for Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone. The movie, originally released in 2007 in Japan, is sort of a remix of the first six episodes of the series and is the first of four films in the Rebuild of Evangelion project. Funimation is giving the film a very limited theatrical release. If you’re going to ComiCon, the film will be showing from July 22-26. There are also a lot of showing in Ontario for you Angry Canadian Zen Minions. The rest of us will just have to wait for the DVD release.

Or not. Because we’ve seen it already. You know, the first time we saw the series. Meh.

Okay, I’m kind of interested in seeing Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance because there’s a new character, Mari, and we get to see a new Eva Unit 05. But then I realize what a sucker I was to believe that Death and Rebirth and End of Evangelion would properly finish the series. Ah well. I know I’ll end up seeing this at some point. I just can’t help myself.

…this is different than from the series, i have the japanese origanal with subtitles on dvd, its timeline is different and from what i can tell…..this is in continuity with the TV series, and the manga, both being before this and the manga being after the tv show. so while it is similar some of the changes are worth it…..shinji doesnt moan about nothing he is actually given VERY good reasons to moan now and stuff. GO WATCH IT.

The one on July 16th at the Alamo Draft House at West Oaks Mall. Haven’t 100% decided if I’m going yet but I’m leaning towards yes more than no.

I work in a boozohal distribution center if you want to get plastered for cheap after. I think I get Thursday off. How much is it? I can’t find a price tag.

Sorry, long day yesterday, didn’t spend much time on the computer. Might not be able to go now, work is telling us to expect some late nights next week so I have to see how things end up going.

If you’re still reading this I can’t make it either. My boss decided to move my day off to Friday.
