Lumina Now on KoldCast TV
Friday, September 18th, 2009 at 8:46 am by JamieDirector/Writer and AZM Ally Jen Thym just sent along news that her web series, Lumina, just got picked up by KoldCast TV:
I am very happy to announce that our local Hong Kong production LUMINA the Web Series has just been signed by cutting edge American web TV channel KOLDCAST TV! There’s been alot of press lately about celebrities getting into the web series arena (Keanu Reeves, Ridley Scott and Bryan Singer being a few of them), and it’s fantastic to know that there is one production coming out of Hong Kong and starring Asian Americans and Asian Canadians that’s going to join the ranks! Getting picked up by KoldCast TV is a wonderful first step to our bringing our unique story to a wider audience.
Congrats Jen! It’s good to see Lumina getting more attention. The first three episodes are online now and you can check them out at luminaseries.com, KoldCast TV, or right below.
God, the RED makes this thing look so damn beautiful. The shots of the city are gorgeous. Really gives the show a cinematic quality. I dig the noir feel to it all. Normal salary woman caught up in something she doesn’t quite understand. Has that classic mystery, thriller atmosphere. I’m gonna hold off on a proper review until the series is out, but so far, I’m entertained. And I really feel for Teddy. No one wants to be in the friend zone, but poor Teddy is a freaking charter member.
