Olivia Wilde in Sexy Tron Mode
When she’s not helping Dr. Sherlock House battle lupis (it’s never lupis), 13 battles against the MCP’s minions on the gaming grid. That’s Olivia Wilde on the left there with skin tight new Tron suit and an Aeon Flux haircut. Yum! There’s also a rather shiny poster that you can check out over at HeyUGuys. Not feeling the poster, but it’s there and shiny.
So I’m still really excited to see this movie. I was a little disappointed with the updated Recognizer, but I was still really pumped. Now that we’ve seen more of the suits, I’m not sure. I really liked the intricacy of the original suits. I know it must have been a bitch and a half to rotoscope all of that insanity, but the circuits were absolutely gorgeous. These updated suits… hmmm… part of me likes that they’ve gone with a more simple, iconic layout. There something to say about good, minimalistic design. And it certainly fits in with a modern aesthetic. I know that sometimes more is just more, but dammit, sometimes you just want to see a whole lot of glowy bits and lines.
Of course, rewatching the trailer still gives me geekbumps and you can see that the riders have this minimal light layout. It looks fantastic when it’s moving so I’m sure when we see 13 in Tron gear on screen, I won’t have anything to complain about. So yeah, a little bummed about certain things, but when it’s all on screen and in glorious 3D, I think it’ll be worth the wait.
