Say Goodbye to Your Pants! More Space Battleship Yamato Footage!

Okay, so it’s not exactly Gundam. But dammit, that’s the goddamn Space Battleship Yamato right there!

These latest clips from the live action Space Battleship Yamato sent over by AZM Ally Henry Marx are fucking awesome. Now that’s how you translate anime to live action! The only thing that sucks is that I will not be in Japan on December 1 when this film is released. It will be an epic opening day.

    On the bright side though i read on nipponcinema, that the reason they are calling it Space Battleship Yamato instead of Uchuu Senkan Yamato is to appeal western audience.
    Thats the first reason in which i thought why the visual looks more towards hollywood. Turns out that Kimura Takuya (kodai susumu) saw the blue smurfs from space and wanted the special fx be better then usual. So he financed it.

    Man, those look like some epic space battles! Its really too bad that if this ever gets translated to english, the voice acting will be terrible. :(

    Awesome. RoboTech was one of my guilty pleasures post-highschool. Definitely looking forward to a subtitled version of this. The ship FX look great, and they got a great look for the guy playing Admiral Golgol.
